Lotus Leadership

Melanie Iverson is the executive director at Lotus Midwest. An experienced business owner and leader, Iverson manages daily operations and works closely with the Lotus Midwest team to help women grow their business and leadership skills.

 

Iverson began her entrepreneurial journey making and reclaiming furniture. She then launched an interior design consulting business working on commercial and residential design projects. Later, Iverson co-launched a comprehensive construction and remodeling company where she served as CEO. In 2014, Iverson joined an anti-trafficking nonprofit, raising $1 million to end human slavery. During that time, she gleaned experience legitimizing a small organization while helping to build a reputable brand. With a passion to see other women succeed, Iverson co-founded She Overcomes, a nonprofit that invests capital, resources and business mentorship in locally-owned, female-ran companies.

 

Iverson applies her strategic planning and strong motivational skills to help her team evolve the Lotus Midwest brand. She enjoys watching before and after design project moments, but her true passion is impacting and helping women lead and grow in all areas of their lives.
